The Yooka-Laylee Main Theme is the theme that plays while in the Title Screen/Main Menu. The song is played as the game opens and the player is at the title screen/game select screen.

Instrumentation and Analysis[]

This track's melody is mainly comprised of the flute and the ukulele. This tune is very simple compared to other songs in the game, due to this tune only using two instruments.

This piece has a much slower variation of the melody; Pause Screen (Music).

History[]

The Yooka-Laylee main theme was kept hidden for the remainder of Yooka-Laylee's production. However, when the PlayStation 4 version of the Toybox was released, selecting the game would allow the theme to be heard.

Trivia[]

  • Like the Banjo-Kazooie theme, the Yooka-Laylee theme is comprised of the same instruments that can be seen in the title of the game (Yooka-Laylee's theme is comprised mainly of the ukulele, as mentioned above).
  • The main melody of the main theme is used various times in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. It's used as the stage clear theme, the jingle played when the player acquires a Tonic and as the theme used when standing near the Beettalion in the overworld.
