Jolly the Trolley is a supporting character in Yooka-Laylee. He is an NPC in Moodymaze Marsh.

In Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, he reappears as a supporting NPC in the beach area of the overworld.

Name Origin[]

In Britain, shopping carts are called trolleys. Jolly rhymes with trolley, giving the character a rhyming name scheme.

Jolly is a responsible character for most of the time, but there are times when he neglects his duties.

Task[]

Jolly is in charge of keeping the water in Moodymaze Lagoon clean, but while he was spending the weekend in Capital Cashino, the lagoon has gotten all murky. Jolly asks Yooka and Laylee to restart the water filter by pressing the switches, which require Lizard Lash to reach. after the lagoon is cleansed, Jolly rewards the duo with a Pagie he found in a clog pipe.

In Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Jolly has become stranded on a rock due to some nearby sharks, who are circling the rock. The player must use Yooka's tongue to pick up rocks off a pile on the pier and throw them at the sharks to remove them. After this, they will be rewarded with the 'Cartoony' tonic, which he leaves behind on the rock.
