- The name "Metal Yooka" is unofficial, and will be changed once an official name has been revealed.
Metal Yooka is a form that Yooka can acquire from the Slurp State ability using the Slurp Shot ability on a cannonball. Upon transformation, Yooka becomes metallic and heavy, however, Laylee is unable to fly. This form is used to resist high-speed winds and activate weight-activated switches.

- Metal Yooka is based off Metal Mario from Super Mario 64.
- In earlier versions of Yooka-Laylee, Yooka transformed into solid metal while Laylee stayed unchanged, however in the final released version of Yooka-Laylee, both Yooka and Laylee will transform into a darker hue of gray.
